Job Description

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager to lead day-to-day marketing across a group of businesses in residential, commercial, and vehicle storage industries. This role combines campaign planning and execution, creative production, website management, and inquiry coordination.

The Marketing Manager will develop and recommend marketing initiatives, create and review polished materials, monitor campaign performance, and help ensure inquiries are handled and tracked consistently. Ownership will approve marketing plans, public-facing materials, and spending before they are implemented. Budgets, tools, and a CRM will be provided.

The role also includes receptionist coverage and occasional administrative work. The successful candidate will be comfortable switching between focused marketing work and front-office responsibilities while communicating priorities and deadlines clearly.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and manage marketing activity across the company’s businesses, brands, and audiences.
  • Create, proofread, and coordinate social content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Build, monitor, and improve digital advertising campaigns, including Meta and Google Ads, within approved budgets.
  • Research relevant channels and opportunities, including short-form video, industry publications, public relations, and other ways to reach target audiences.
  • Design and prepare marketing materials using Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop. Use AI tools where helpful, and carefully review AI-assisted work for accuracy, layout, brand consistency, and quality.
  • Update company websites in WordPress, improving content, usability, search visibility, and inquiry paths.
  • Monitor incoming inquiries across assigned channels. Reply to inquiries when assigned, and route others to the appropriate person.
  • Record inquiries, communication, status, and follow-up in the company CRM. Use approved business communication channels and follow established response-time expectations.
  • Prepare regular reports on campaign activity, spending, inquiries, lead quality, and recommended improvements.
  • Present marketing plans and materials to ownership for approval before publication or launch.
  • Maintain a marketing calendar and raise risks, delays, and approval needs early.
  • Provide receptionist coverage, greet visitors, handle incoming calls, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Complete occasional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing or coordinating digital marketing across multiple channels or brands.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and visual quality-control skills.
  • Strong working proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop; experience with both is preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress and social media publishing tools.
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager; Google Ads experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, lead tracking, and marketing analytics.
  • Ability to use AI tools thoughtfully and verify the quality and accuracy of their output.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, including the ability to manage deadlines and competing front-office and marketing priorities.
  • Clear, professional communication and sound judgment when responding to prospective customers.
  • Willingness to learn the products, audiences, and requirements of each business.

What success looks like

  • Marketing plans, advertising, and creative materials are submitted for approval with enough time for review and revisions.
  • Published materials are accurate, polished, consistent with brand standards, and free of avoidable errors.
  • Campaigns have clear objectives and tracking, and performance is reviewed regularly to guide improvements.
  • Inquiries are monitored, responded to or routed according to agreed expectations, and documented in the CRM.
  • Website content stays current and supports visitor understanding and inquiry conversion.
  • The manager identifies relevant marketing opportunities and presents practical recommendations with a rationale.
  • Reception and administrative duties are handled professionally, with conflicts against marketing deadlines communicated promptly.
